Teach your dog new tricks

Here’s proof that when it comes to training, it’s perfectly possible to get an old dog doing the right thing

This month's breed, the Border Collie comes from the British Isles and have since time immemorial been present among herders in the borderlands between England and Scotland.

On a cold and early morning in November 1957, a small dog of indeterminable breed, a mix between a Husky and a Samoyan perhaps?

The boxer is a short-haired, medium-sized, dog with balanced but self-assured behaviour. Their ancestry is among Brabant and Bullenbeisser dogs which were crossed with English Bulldogs during the 19th century.

The Poodle is a very ancient breed and has been present on the European continent for a long time. Most likely it was bred in the countries around the Mediterranean during the early Middle-Ages.

Dogs make for perfect company when you are out and about exercising or training. Most dogs would not pass up the chance to exercise and they make great competitors, as they can match their speed to yours. However, different breeds are more suited to different kinds of taining....
