A Million Paws

Every May, the RSPCA holds its annual Million Paws Walk, which involves thousands of participants across Australia registering online and fundraising for the cause, culminating in a mass-walk of dogs and their people to raise awareness for the RSPCA – and to get out and have some fun!

Along with providing hours of entertainment playing the ‘owner-pet lookalike’ game (you’ll be surprised and possibly appalled at the similarities in some partnerships!) and being a great opportunity to show off your best friend, the annual RSPCA Million Paws Walk raises money and awareness for a fabulous cause.

The RSPCA is not a government agency and therefore relies on fundraising events such as this to sustain itself and the vital work it does for the animals in its care. This year, the RSPCA says they are ‘doggedly determined’ to break the million dollar and million paws barrier – and you don’t even need a pooch to take part!

Held in locations Australia-wide on May 16th, the events will be full of entertainment, information stalls, food stalls and the opportunity for your dog to do what dogs to best… socialise!

Registered members are then able to fundraise online, so that even if you aren’t able to attend or participate in the walk, you can still lend a helping hand (or paw) to the cause.
