Nutritional Dog Food
Being increasingly health-conscious and understanding that ‘we are what we eat’, we often make healthy food choices. But what about the food for your pup? Have you ever considered what healthy dog food is?
Dog owners are prone to shopping for dog food at their local supermarket without thinking twice about it’s nutritional value. Commercial dog foods not only have low nutritional value but also contain preservatives, by-products and artificial foods and colours which are puppy-poisonous.
Chances are that the meals you buy are causing your dog to suffer from malnutrition so knowing what’s healthy is especially important. In providing your dog with nutritious meals, you will find it becoming less lethargic and also decrease it’s chances of developing illnesses.
Dr. Will Falconer gives the natural raw diet the thumbs-up, recommending fresh and natural human ingredients which aren’t difficult to digest. His “Plan for dogs” is something worth checking out. This website contains a raw food recipe whereas this one here contains information backed up by health and scientific research on the benefits of and necessity for raw food.
There are some foods you absolutely must not feed your dog and you can find a list of them here.
So have a look and start improving your dog’s health by firstly feeding it the right foods. A healthy pup will be a happy pup!

Yay! Finally someone recommending raw
What most people do not realise is that dogs can NOT digest fruit, vegetables or grains of any type because firstly, they lack certain enzymes in their saliva that help to break them down like us humans and other herbivores/omnivores, secondly they have a much shorter digestive tract which means they do not have time to digest them properly, giving almost no nutritional value whatsoever.
Please, I would urge everyone to at least research raw feeding, dog food companies are obviously going to convince you do buy their product for their profit, but what do people recommending raw get out of it? I know who I trust.
